Grill Fanatics cares a lot about your privacy. Webshop software – WooCommerce

Our online store is developed with software from WooCommerce. Personal data you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. WooCommerce is required by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.

Email communication through Microsoft Office 365

For our e-mail services, we use Microsoft Office 365. This means that all e-mail traffic goes through Microsoft’s secure servers. In this context, Microsoft acts as a processor and processes personal data exclusively on our behalf and according to our instructions.

We have entered into a processor agreement with Microsoft to make proper arrangements for the protection of personal data. Microsoft has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data against loss or unlawful processing.

Data shared with us via email will be treated confidentially and kept no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Payment processors – Mollie

For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence and payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data longer than permitted under the statutory periods.

Shipping and logistics

To ship your order, we use the services of MyParcel. To do this, we share your name, address details, email address and phone number with MyParcel. This data is used to ship your order and provide you with track & trace information.

MyParcel processes your data on our behalf and has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. For delivery, MyParcel works with carriers such as PostNL, UPS, DPD and DHL. These parties also receive only the data necessary to carry out the delivery. We have concluded a processor agreement with MyParcel to ensure adequate protection of your personal data. Your data will not be used for other purposes.

Customer reviews

We collect reviews through The Feedback Company. When you leave a review, The Feedback Company asks for your name, e-mail address and any order information. These details are used to link your review to an order and to verify the authenticity of reviews.

The Feedback Company acts as a processor and has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. We have entered into a processor agreement with The Feedback Company to ensure the confidentiality and security of your data. Your data will only be used for inviting and displaying reviews and will not be used for other purposes.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data exclusively for our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share information with us and we use this information – other than at your request – to contact you at a later time, we will ask your explicit permission. Your data will not be shared with third parties other than to fulfill accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality by virtue of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

In appropriate cases, Grill Fanatics living under a legal obligation may be held to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by public authorities. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will resist within the possibilities offered by law.

Retention periods

We keep your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to forget. This also means that we will not retain your data for more than two years from the last moment of contact or transaction, unless there is a legal justification. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced as a result of the assignment.
